Where the Road Ends
HIGHLANDS, ICELAND
Three days of waiting for the cloud to break. When it finally did, the whole valley lit up like a held breath let go.

DRAKE BREITBACH
Every frame begins with waiting. I chase the hour when light goes low and warm — the same light that made me pick up a camera fifteen years ago.
From Icelandic highlands to Lisbon studios, the location is never a backdrop. It's a collaborator, and it always gets the final word.
A photograph isn't finished until it exists on paper. Every print is made to order on museum-grade stock, checked and signed by hand.

Three days of waiting for the cloud to break. When it finally did, the whole valley lit up like a held breath let go.

Studio, Lisbon
Shot on expired Portra 400, one window, no direction. She simply sat with the light and I kept quiet.

Dolomites, Italy
At 2,800 metres the fog moves like tide. The peaks surfaced for maybe four minutes — long enough for one frame.

Marrakech, Morocco
He maps the medina from memory. We traded mint tea for twenty minutes in the last light of the alley.

Val d'Orcia, Tuscany
The cypress line up like they're waiting for something. Maybe they are. Maybe it's just the light.

Studio, Copenhagen
Part of an ongoing series on stillness — portraits made in the minutes after conversation ends.
Ten days in the highlands with a tent, two cameras, and no plan beyond the light. The river crossings were cold enough to make me gasp — worth every step.

Highlands, Iceland — day four, the river that kept us awake
We climbed above the cloud line at 3am and watched the fog tide come in below us. Four minutes of peaks, then the white swallowed everything.

Dolomites, Italy — 2,800m, blue hour

Val d'Orcia, Tuscany — first light over the cypress road
A week of mornings in the same valley. The farmers waved by day three. Some places you photograph; this one you keep.
Museum-grade fine art prints, made to order in editions of twenty-five. Each is printed, inspected, and signed before it leaves the studio.
